OSINT Monitoring
OSINT Monitoring
A constellation of automated monitoring tools at tools.ejfox.com
Overview
A collection of open-source intelligence (OSINT) monitoring sites, spun up by Claude Code autonomous agents running in the background. Each tool monitors a specific domain and surfaces anomalies or changes worth knowing about.
The philosophy: automated situational awareness for the Hudson Valley region and beyond. Set it and forget it monitoring that surfaces what matters.
Active Tools
riverwatch
Hudson River monitoring—water levels, flow rates, conditions. Useful for kayaking planning and flood awareness.
skywatch
Weather and atmospheric monitoring. Integrates with Weather tracking and NOAA Satellites data.
camwatch
Traffic and webcam aggregation. Visual situational awareness for local conditions.
anomalywatch
Pattern detection across data sources. Surfaces unusual activity or conditions that deviate from baseline.
Architecture
These tools are designed to be:
- Autonomous — run without intervention
- Low-maintenance — minimal infrastructure, static hosting where possible
- Composable — can feed into each other or other systems
- Open — data and methods are transparent
Built primarily with:
- Vue.js frontends
- Scheduled data fetching
- Static site deployment
Relation to Other Work
This fits into the broader Personal APIs and Quantified Self ecosystem—external monitoring that complements personal data tracking.
The approach draws from Journalism and Data Journalism practices: systematic monitoring, anomaly detection, pattern recognition applied to everyday life rather than just investigations.
